Florence's centro storico is a restricted traffic zone (ZTL) for good reason — it's dense, largely pedestrian, and not somewhere you want to be navigating in anything, let alone a supercar. The real reason to have a car here is what's just outside it.
Arrange delivery outside the ZTL. Most hotels in the historic centre can't accommodate a car directly at the door — we'll arrange delivery to a nearby collection point or a hotel just outside the restricted zone, which keeps the whole start of the trip simple.
The SR222, the Chiantigiana, is the actual destination. Running south from Florence through Greve and Panzano into the heart of Chianti, it's a steady, flowing road through vineyards and olive groves — less about outright pace, more about a car you're happy to take slowly. A Maserati MC20 or Ferrari Roma Spider both suit it well.
Build in a stop, not just a loop. Greve in Chianti's main piazza is an easy, unpretentious place to park up and have lunch before the drive back — better than trying to do the whole route in one sitting.
