Grand Prix weekend is the busiest few days of the year in Monaco, and it changes how you should plan a rental — not just what you drive, but when it arrives and where it can go.
Book delivery well ahead of the closures. The circuit closes large sections of central Monaco and Monte Carlo from Wednesday through Sunday. If you want the car for the full weekend, arrange delivery before the barriers go up, ideally the Monday or Tuesday before — trying to get a car into the principality once the track is closed adds hours to what should be a ten-minute drive.
Think about where you're actually driving. Central Monaco during the Grand Prix is best explored on foot or by boat — a car is more useful for the wider loop out to Nice, Cannes and the Corniche roads above the coast once the racing's done for the day. A Bentley Continental GTC or Rolls-Royce Dawn suits the arrival and the harbour-side evenings; something quicker earns its keep on the Grande Corniche the next morning.
