A Supercar Weekend in Marbella: Where to Drive and When

Marbella is as much about arriving well as it is about driving — most of a weekend here plays out along the Golden Mile and around Puerto Banús, with only the odd proper drive built in. That changes what car actually suits the trip.

Land at Málaga, not the car itself. Delivery to Málaga airport or straight to your hotel takes the arrival logistics off your hands entirely — most guests have the car waiting before they've cleared baggage claim.

The Golden Mile is a car-park as much as a road. Valet culture runs deep here, and a Bentley Continental GTC or Rolls-Royce Dawn arriving at Puente Romano or the Marbella Club does more work parked outside than it does moving. Save the driving itch for after dark, when the coast road out to Puerto Banús empties out and a Ferrari Portofino M earns its keep properly.

Go up into the hills for something different. The road behind town towards Ojén and the Sierra Blanca foothills is a genuinely good, quiet drive that most weekend visitors never find — a short detour that turns a Marbella weekend into more than a Golden Mile loop.

Amara's Marbella fleet is part of our wider Spain collection, available on a two-day minimum with delivery to your hotel or villa.
